Week 5 – PaulXStretch!

This week, we learnt about PaulXStretch and experimented with the program. Paulstretch is a program which allows users to slow down audio up to 80 times without effecting the pitch of the sample. I experimented with three different samples: Nobuo Uematsu’s orchestral version of the main theme of Final Fantasy VII (one of my favourite themes of all time), a foley recording of some windchimes, and a recording of fuzz from an amp. Here are the three affected sounds:

Task 3 Update!

I have sent emails to many students about working on projects, however many of them have not gotten back to me, and the few that have, declined. I am lining up a few personal projects, so hopefully by next week I’ll have some better news. I think I will do a redesign of a part of a game or short film, as i think that could be an interesting project.
